If you would rather stay close to home then you will be glad to know that the Fairfax County Park Authority has over 400 parks and 24,000 acres to enjoy and the Northern Virginia Park Authority has another 21 parks and 10,000 acres.

If shopping’s more your speed, Fairfax County houses Tysons Corner and The Galleria – the retail centers of Northern Virginia. The Reston Town Center offers a fun outdoor shopping and dining experience in addition to the free outdoor concerts it hosts throughout the spring, summer and fall. Fair Oaks and Springfield malls are also popular among local residents.
